2019 is flying by and it is already time for our April Meeting! We are excited to have a great program:
When: Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:00 pm
Where: Carmel Valley Library
3919 Townsgate Dr, San Diego, CA 92130
Terra Lauson-Remer, a 2020 candidate for our San Diego County Supervisor seat will introduce herself, her campaign and answer any questions we have. As many of you know helping to flip this seat is a big 2020 goal for the Carmel Valley Democrats.
In addition, a representative from The Sister District Project will also come and speak with us. Like the Carmel Valley Democrats, they were founded after the disastrous 2016 election. As they explain on their website: "The Sister District Project works to turn states blue by winning state legislative elections. We “sister” volunteers from deep blue districts with carefully targeted races in swing districts, where flipping control of the state legislature will help end partisan gerrymandering." We will find out more specifics about what they are doing and how some of us can get involved and help their important work.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
